Windows 11 Education shares almost its entire feature set with Enterprise (AppLocker, Credential Guard, advanced management tooling) but is licensed specifically to academic institutions through education-specific Volume Licensing agreements rather than a business contract. It's aimed at school- and university-managed lab and classroom machines administered centrally by an IT department, not at individual students buying their own laptop -- a student wanting similar management-free simplicity would more likely end up on Home or Pro instead.
