Clawd on Desk1.2.0

Clawd on Desk puts a pixel-art companion on your macOS desktop that reacts in real time to activity from AI coding agents. It animates thinking while you prompt, typing while tools run, permission reviews, subagent work, errors, and completed tasks, so you can leave a long-running job and return when Clawd signals that it has finished.

The companion works with Claude Code, Codex CLI, Copilot CLI, Gemini CLI, Antigravity CLI (agy), Cursor Agent, CodeBuddy, WorkBuddy, Grok Build, Kiro CLI, Kimi Code CLI, Qwen Code, ZCode, CodeWhale, opencode, MiMo Code, Pi, OMP, OpenClaw, and Hermes. Claude Code connects through command hooks and HTTP permission hooks, while Codex CLI uses official hooks with a JSONL fallback in ~/.codex/sessions/ and synchronized permission bubbles. An experimental DeepSeek Harness integration runs only through a Clawd-managed in-process plugin in web-profile mode, preserving per-session ordering and showing Allow Once or Deny prompts while leaving unanswered decisions and ask-user questions to DeepSeek’s native interface.

Multiple agents can run together, with each session tracked independently, and the pet has 12 animated states including idle, thinking, typing, building, subagent groove, multi-subagent juggling, error, happy, notification, sweeping, carrying, and sleeping. Built-in Clawd, Calico, and Cloudling themes can be replaced with custom themes or imported Codex Pet animation packs, while Hash Sage is an optional official theme. Cursor-following eyes, body lean, shadow stretching, and a yawning-to-dozing sleep sequence give the desktop presence activity beyond agent status.

Version 1.2.0 is freeware for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 12 Monterey or later, and source builds require Node.js. It suits developers who want an ambient, visual way to monitor coding-agent sessions without keeping each agent’s console in view.
