About

Move files between a local computer and a remote server by connecting FileZilla® to FTP, FTPS, or SFTP endpoints and transferring items through its dual-pane workspace. It displays local and remote directories side by side, allowing users to browse folders, select multiple items, and drag files between locations. Transfers can be queued, paused, resumed, and monitored, helping users manage large batches or interrupted connections without losing track of progress.

Site Manager stores connection profiles and organizes recurring server access, while bookmarks speed navigation to commonly used folders. Directory comparison highlights differences between local and remote content, and synchronized browsing keeps corresponding folders aligned as you move through them. Filters, transfer-speed limits, tabbed sessions, and IPv6 support provide finer control over busy or varied file-transfer work.

Web developers use it to publish site files, administrators use it to exchange server data, and individuals use it for routine FTP-based transfers or backups. Developed by Tim Kosse, FileZilla is a fast cross-platform FTP client in the Internet & Browsers category and is released under an open-source license. The current Windows x64 release is version current.
