Receive location-aware disaster warnings, weather updates, and risk information for places in Japan through NERV Disaster Prevention. The Android app uses both your current position and locations you register to show conditions relevant to where you are, making it useful for residents in vulnerable areas and visitors tracking local changes.

Coverage includes earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, emergency weather, flooding, landslides, rivers, typhoons, and heavy rain, alongside forecasts and rain radar. Its interactive map lets you inspect locations across Japan and view cloud cover, typhoon forecast areas, tsunami warning zones, and earthquake scales or intensities. Information is delivered through a leased-line connection to the Japan Meteorological Agency.

The home screen brings the most relevant information forward for the current situation and location, including the latest earthquake details when an earthquake occurs. If several warnings are active, the app orders them by category, elapsed time, and urgency so critical items are easier to find. Push notifications are adjusted for device location, information type, and urgency; routine updates arrive silently, while time-sensitive events can appear as critical alerts.

Version 6.2.0 adds maps tailored to the type of information shown in Weather Flash Reports and Weather Information, and those updates can now arrive as push notifications. The Synoptic Chart layer, previously available through Early Access, is now open to everyone. NERV Disaster Prevention is freeware for Android, and a separate paid version with additional features is also available.
