.NET 11.0 ASP.NET Core Hosting Bundle

Run existing ASP.NET Core web and server applications on a Windows machine with the .NET 11.0 ASP.NET Core Hosting Bundle. It provides the ASP.NET Core runtime components required to execute those applications, giving developers a Windows-hosting environment for development-related web workloads. The bundle is designed for hosting web applications rather than ordinary desktop use.

On Windows, it combines the .NET Runtime with IIS support, connecting ASP.NET Core applications to Microsoft’s web server hosting environment. This makes it suitable for developers testing or operating ASP.NET Core sites and services that are already built and need the matching runtime to run. The included ASP.NET Core Runtime is specifically intended to run existing web and server applications, while the wider .NET platform supports building many kinds of applications across platforms.

Microsoft publishes this release in the Developer Tools category under an open-source license. It is intended for developers and teams working with .NET 11 ASP.NET Core applications that require IIS-backed hosting, rather than users seeking a desktop application runtime.
