Noten lernen

Noten lernen is an open-source Android app for learning to read and practice written music. It is intended for people developing their music-reading skills, including those working with piano and different musical clefs. The app records practice results so users can review their progress over time.

Notes can be entered using buttons, a piano, or MIDI, allowing a piano to be connected directly. Practice covers treble, bass, alto, and tenor clefs. Three difficulty levels adjust the exercise challenge, with higher levels introducing more notes on ledger lines. The app supports sharp and flat accidentals, and it can optionally display the correct note after an incorrect entry. Score history shows development in a graph, and the interface is available in 11 languages.

As an Android title in the Education category, Noten lernen is distributed through MirrorNest as a direct mirror of the official build. MirrorNest stores the build on its own storage and scans it for malware before publishing.
