Ordunte: Karrantza weather1.5.0

Ordunte: Karrantza weather delivers weather information for your location, with a hyperlocal view of the Karrantza (Carranza), Bizkaia, and Ordunte valley. Inside Carranza, it divides local information into Weather, Field, Hunting, and Beekeeping sections, while locations outside the valley receive current, hourly, and seven-day forecasts, available air-quality data, and a rain radar centered on the current position. The valley view also includes measured AEMET warnings in a dedicated channel, while the Hunting section is informational and neither grants a hunting permit nor replaces an official licence.

A Carranza-only home-screen widget and periodic synchronization keep local conditions accessible, and an optional La Salvé beach camera is resolved through a public stream page. The app requests only approximate location permission to center forecasts and radar; it does not request precise or background location, continuously track the device, or use Google location services. An approximate 15-kilometer geofence selects the four valley sections inside Carranza and Weather alone outside it, while missing permission or position falls back to Carranza and all four sections; the current release does not resolve a locality name.

Location data may be taken from a last-known position up to 10 minutes old or from a one-time update under a 12-second deadline, with any resumed listener limited to the remaining time. Coordinates go to Open-Meteo for forecasts and air quality, and the visible radar area becomes RainViewer and OpenStreetMap tiles; visitor data stays in process memory, while Room storage, synchronization, and the widget remain Carranza-only. Outside the valley, the app uses Open-Meteo, Open-Meteo/Copernicus air quality when available, and RainViewer, whereas Carranza forecasts, warnings, air data, and tides query Open-Meteo, AEMET, and IHM directly.

Hunting seasons, the valley Bresser station, and the Cerroja ridge reading depend on nomad.debian.link and otherwise remain empty or show a network error rather than fabricated temperatures. Version 1.5.0 clarifies daytime skies with WMO codes and AEMET periods, switches the civil day at Madrid midnight, and improves seven-day rain bars so radar and the header follow that day. This open-source Education software runs on Android 7.0 or later with Universal architecture; it requires an Android SDK path for release builds and contains no client token or Euskalmet key.
