Parti

Parti is an open-source Android application in the Education category. It helps users work with lists of divisors and examine their least common multiple (LCM) and greatest common divisor (GCD). Its calculations use BigInts, so whole-number values can grow as far as the device’s available memory permits.

The main editor accepts a divisor, while a control beside the input adds or removes that divisor from the list. The upper section recalculates the LCM and GCD when the list changes. Users can tap a listed value to return it to the editor, drag it left to remove it and load it into the editor, or drag it right to remove it without changing the editor. The top bar also provides controls for clearing the full list and undoing or redoing changes made during the current session.

Parti allows the GCD to be changed deliberately by tapping its displayed value and entering an arbitrary whole number. Separate controls can set the GCD to 1, restore the value that existed before that change, or increase or decrease it by one. When the GCD changes, Parti updates the divisor list to match.

The application is intended for people studying or working with fraction-based parts whose divisors differ. It can be used to inspect relationships among divisors, their LCM, and their GCD on an Android device.
