Read Along by Google

Children read aloud to Read Along by Google while its in-app reading buddy listens, offers help when they struggle, and rewards progress with stars. It is designed for young learners who already know some of the alphabet and want to build reading confidence through practice.

The Android education app includes hundreds of stories and word games in nine languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Bangla, Urdu, Telugu, Marathi, and Tamil. Each child has a separate profile, can learn at their own pace, and receives story recommendations based on reading level. Tapping a word lets them hear its pronunciation, while stars and badges add game-like encouragement.

Read Along works offline without Wi-Fi or mobile data and has no ads, upsells, or in-app purchases. Voice data is analyzed in real time on the device rather than stored or sent to Google servers, and the app does not require a name, age, location, contact details, email address, or phone number.
