RF Analyzer (FOSS) turns an Android phone or tablet into a real-time spectrum analyzer for Software Defined Radio, displaying and playing nearby radio signals from amateur radio, broadcast stations, and other sources. It connects to HackRF, RTL-SDR, Airspy, Airspy HF+, or HydraSDR receivers, and can also examine pre-recorded IQ files. Live FFT spectrum and waterfall views let users scroll, zoom, and tune across bands while AM, FM, SSB, and CW demodulation makes signals audible.

The app can record raw IQ samples for later offline analysis, save stations and bands as bookmarks, and import configurations from SDR# or SDR++. Online synchronization adds data from EiBi DB, POTA, and SOTA Spots, while context-sensitive help and a complete offline manual explain the interface and radio concepts. An online manual also includes signal-identification guidance, ham-radio basics, and related learning material.

It suits beginners exploring radio as well as amateur-radio operators investigating bands in the field or reviewing recorded captures. The phone or tablet must support USB OTG, and a compatible SDR is required; the RTL-SDR Blog v4 is fully supported, while modern phones generally use a USB-A female-to-USB-C OTG adapter, except with USB-C receivers such as HydraSDR.

RF Analyzer (FOSS) runs on Android 9 or later for arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, x86, and riscv64 devices. It is open-source under the GNU General Public License version 2, and users should follow local laws when operating it; the current version is 2.2.1-foss.
