Zoom Earth - Weather Forecast lets you pan across an interactive world map to examine current conditions and forecast developments in specific places or across entire weather systems. Its map layers display rain, wind, temperature, atmospheric pressure, and related conditions, helping users investigate local weather and follow changing patterns. On Android, this Lifestyle app also provides storm alerts and map-based tracking for hurricanes, storms, wildfires, and smoke.

Near-real-time satellite imagery and a weather radar view give the map a visual picture of developing conditions. The radar shows rain and snow detected by ground-based Doppler radar and provides short-term nowcasting, while satellite imagery comes from NOAA GOES, JMA Himawari, and EUMETSAT Meteosat geostationary satellites updated every 10 minutes. Higher-definition imagery from NASA Aqua and Terra polar-orbiting satellites is refreshed twice daily.

Forecast overlays cover precipitation, wind speed, wind gusts, temperature, feels-like temperature, relative humidity, dew point, wet-bulb temperature, and atmospheric pressure. It suits people checking neighborhood conditions, watching hazardous weather, planning outdoor activities, or studying storms and smoke across larger regions. Version 6.1 adds Crosshair Mode for reading data insights while panning, custom names for saved locations, temperatures beside city labels, and wind-direction indicators on the Wind Gusts map.

The app is freeware for Android, and a paid version with additional features is also available. Other fixes and improvements are included in the current release.
