8x8_work8.37.2-1

8x8_work brings voice calls, video conversations, chat, and web conferencing into one Mac workspace, helping colleagues and business contacts communicate and collaborate from the same application. Users can place, receive, and manage calls on their computer, review call history, and schedule meetings for participants inside or outside their company. Meetings support web, video, and audio conferencing for team discussions, presentations, and other business sessions.

The calling tools can automatically record incoming and outgoing calls and play those recordings back later. Calls can also be forwarded to extensions inside or outside the organization, or to voicemail, while messaging supports instant conversations with coworkers and business contacts alongside each contact’s chat history. Company contacts can be reached through business instant messaging, and external contacts through SMS.

Team Messaging provides public chat rooms for all colleagues or private rooms for a specific team to discuss projects and tasks. A contacts area displays details at a glance, lets users create personal contacts, and allows favorites for quick access. The application also sends faxes to colleagues and provides access to manage faxes received through 8x8 Work, while automatic or manual presence signals availability to coworkers.

Formerly known as the Virtual Office desktop app, this freeware Communication software runs on MacOS and targets Apple Silicon (arm64) Macs with macOS 12 Monterey or later. The current version is 8.38.4-1, and the desktop client supports multiple languages.
