Alma0.4.195

Alma lets Mac users hold AI conversations from a desktop chat application, bringing several provider connections into one workspace instead of separating them across services. Its provider orchestration supports OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, and custom APIs, so users can switch models or services through a common interface. The chat view renders Markdown, highlights code, and displays responses as they stream in.

Alma can retain preferences and conversational context, helping users build a more personalized assistant over time. A dedicated memory view lets them inspect, organize, and manage everything the application has stored about them. Web access supplies current information, while tool integration enables tasks such as calculations and data analysis.

It suits Mac users who want a focused Communication application for everyday questions, research, coding discussions, and provider experimentation. Alma 0.4.60 requires macOS 12 Monterey or later and Apple Silicon arm64 hardware; it has currently been tested only on Macs using M-series chips. The product is also presented for Windows and Linux, although the stated tested configuration is the Apple Silicon Mac release. Alma is freeware.
