A Better Finder Attributes7.55

Correct EXIF capture dates and adjust file timestamps in batches with A Better Finder Attributes, helping photos and files sort correctly after camera clocks, imports, or other date records have gone awry. It can process JPEG, RAW, and video content, including batches containing thousands of items, while changing creation and modification dates to specific values or shifting them forward and backward by a chosen amount.

For digital images and video, the program edits content dates such as EXIF DateTimeOriginal, EXIF DateTimeDigitized, and video media-creation timestamps. It can synchronize Finder file creation and modification dates with shooting or content-creation dates, and it can add, change, or remove EXIF, IPTC, and GPS metadata, including stripping all such information or removing only location tags. File flags can also be changed, and invisible files can be handled from the same standalone Mac utility.

A Better Finder Attributes can read date information embedded in filenames and apply it to the relevant file dates through flexible, configurable rules. Users may pair that workflow with A Better Finder Rename to reshape filenames or place dates into them before processing, making the tool useful for photographers, videographers, archivists, and anyone organizing imported media.

Version 7.55 runs on macOS 15 Sequoia or later, supports Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, and is compatible with macOS 27 Golden Gate. It is distributed as freeware and is presented as a MacOS System Tools utility.
