AbleSet lets Ableton Live performers build, rearrange, and control a show setlist without editing the Live session itself. It reads cues from an Ableton project, using setlist notation and a sections track to identify songs, sections, loops, and other show elements. The browser-based interface works on a computer, tablet, or phone connected to the same network, including without an internet connection, and multiple devices can operate it at once.

Songs can be reordered quickly, assigned colors, annotated with notes, and launched from any connected device, while the displayed total duration indicates how long the set will run. MIDI tracks in Live can supply synchronized lyrics, with support for multiple lyric tracks, chords, custom formatting, and a synchronization tool that avoids creating clips manually for every line. The AbleSet Cues VST can announce song and section names with spoken count-ins, using either generated voices or custom recordings.

Grouping tracks exposes them in AbleSet’s Mixer for direct volume control, and each device can have its own performance view, such as lyrics for a singer or timecode and section-jump controls for a musical director. Canvas provides buttons, sliders, and other elements for custom control surfaces that send OSC or MIDI commands to Ableton, AbleSet, other applications, and devices. AbleNet coordinates redundant playback across two or more computers, while AbleSet 2 can divide one large session into separate Ableton project files for individual songs.

AbleSet 3.1.5 is freeware for Apple Silicon (arm64) Macs running macOS 12 Monterey or later, making it suited to artists, musical directors, and live crews managing cue-driven performances.
