About
Open a GPX document in Adze to create, modify, or remove tracks while preparing data for a trip, recording, or route archive. Merge tracks that were accidentally divided, split tracks into logical sections, delete unwanted stretches, or save a detour as its own track. For expedition planning, you can draw a route, place waypoints, measure distances, and inspect the planned journey on road, topographic, and satellite maps before exporting the GPX data to a device.
The Edit Point tool lets you add, move, and remove points directly on the map, while the points list provides manual control over their values. Adze can detect rest stops, meal breaks, and overnight pauses, then divide a track automatically at those locations. Track optimization removes redundant data, and item names and colors can be changed to make documents clearer for sharing. GPX metadata is also editable, including the document title, author, and description.
Timestamp tools can shift times by a fixed offset, replace them in bulk, or erase them entirely. Statistics show duration, speed, elevation, and gradient for a complete document or a selected portion. Documents can be exported as KML for viewing in Google Earth. Adze 1.4.12 is freeware for macOS and supports both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, making it suited to Mac users who work with GPS tracks and planned travel routes.
