Agent! lets you give an autonomous AI agent tasks that operate across your Mac, rather than limiting it to a chat window. It controls applications through macOS Accessibility, writes and builds projects in Xcode, and automates AppleScript, JXA, Swift, and SMAppService shell commands with user- or root-level execution. MCP support lets it connect to external tools and services while carrying out multi-step work.

The native Swift 6.4 and SwiftUI application connects 23 LLM providers, including Claude, Codex, OpenAI, Fluxion AI, Gemini, Grok, Mistral, Mistral Vibe, DeepSeek, Hugging Face, Z.ai, BigModel, Alibaba DashScope, Qwen, Qwen Code, Meta Muse, MiniMax, OpenRouter, Requesty, A2Agent, OrcaRouter, Ollama, vLLM, and LM Studio. Ollama can use cloud or local models, and the agent can also run with on-device Apple Intelligence and Jev guard. You can supply your own API key, choose a local model, or use Apple Intelligence at no cost; the app has no subscription or telemetry.

It suits Mac developers, automation authors, and technical users who want AI to edit code, operate desktop software, or coordinate shell and scripting tasks. Agent! is freeware for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 26 Tahoe or later, and its design avoids NPM and Electron in favor of a native Swift application.

The current release is version 1.1.97.297. Rust and Go command-line counterparts with the same capabilities are in progress for Mac, Windows, and Linux, while building Agent! itself from source involves Xcode and an Apple Developer account.
