Emdash lets you launch multiple coding agents at once, assign them separate tasks, and inspect their results from one workspace. It brings agent conversations, code changes, and review work together so developers can move from an issue to an implemented change without juggling separate tools. Agents such as Claude Code and Codex are supported, while the environment can also work with any coding agent rather than locking users to one provider.

Users can pull issues from Linear, Jira, GitHub, Notion, Asana, and more, then pass each issue’s full context directly to an agent. Each parallel task runs in an isolated Git worktree with its own branch, terminal, conversation, and review state. Within a task, developers can open local apps, remote previews, and browser profiles in the built-in browser to inspect the result.

Emdash supports diff and pull-request review, commits and pushes, and CI monitoring in the same workspace; prompts, skills, and MCP tools are managed there too. Recurring runs can automate bug sweeps, release preparation, reviews, and checks, while SSH connections let agents work on a development server, cloud VM, or GPU machine with full worktree isolation. Setup and teardown scripts can provision isolated workspaces on demand in local, remote, or cloud environments.

It is freeware and open-source, aimed at developers handling parallel implementation, review, and maintenance tasks. The current macOS release is version 1.2.7 and requires macOS 12 Monterey or newer on Apple Silicon (arm64); versions are also available for Windows and Linux.
