AgentIDE lets developers run, prompt, and review sandboxed AI coding agents in parallel Git worktrees, carrying a task from its initial prompt through a reviewed, merged pull request. It brings worktrees, conversations, code reviews, pull requests, and CI status into one native macOS window, replacing a separate agent manager, Git interface, code editor, and terminal in this workflow.

A task can begin from a prompt, GitHub issue, pull request, or security advisory marked for triage or draft, while Claude Code and Codex CLI agents work concurrently in isolated worktrees. Each agent runs as a separate non-admin sandvault user without access to sensitive files or credentials, and can work unattended; the SwiftUI app is built on sandvault, herdr, and the gh CLI. Agents continue running when the app closes, and their conversations remain browsable and resumable after worktrees are deleted, with scrolling that follows the pointer and notifications for completion or needed input.

Developers can inspect uncommitted edits, selected commits, or complete branches as syntax-highlighted diffs with inline pull-request comments, request reviews from another agent or Copilot, and turn comments or failed CI logs into prompts for fixes. An editor provides syntax highlighting, search, and change tracking for each worktree, preserving its open file and scroll position, while shell tabs handle development servers, tests, and other commands. The app drafts commit messages with Apple’s on-device model, commits or amends selected files, pushes and rebases branches, manages forks and stacked branches, and merges or queues pull requests. It can remove clean, fully merged worktrees and branches after observing a merge, while leaving the selected worktree and main checkout in place, and supports starting or steering work from a phone through SSH, Shortcuts, or Siri.

This Developer Tools software suits individual developers building and supervising agent-based projects, particularly when parallel coding, review, CI follow-up, and unattended tasks belong in one workspace. Version 0.9.13 is freeware for Apple Silicon (arm64) Macs running macOS 27+. It is intentionally limited to one developer on one Mac: Windows and Linux are out of scope, team, multi-user, and hosted features are excluded, and agents must run inside the sandboxed non-admin user.
