Alcove1.7.7

Alcove turns the notch area of a compatible Mac display into a space for Dynamic Island-like features, giving that specialized part of the screen a new role. It is designed for Mac users who want an experience around the notch modeled on Apple’s Dynamic Island concept. The utility changes how this display area is used instead of acting as a general-purpose system maintenance program.

Its use is centered on providing Dynamic Island-like functionality around the notch, so it suits people who want that focused visual treatment during everyday Mac use. Alcove belongs to the System Tools category and concentrates on the display’s notch area rather than broader system administration. The software is available as freeware.

Alcove runs on macOS 15 Sequoia or newer and supports both Intel-based Macs and Apple Silicon models. The current version is 1.7.7. Its appeal is specifically tied to Macs with a compatible notched display, making the hardware’s existing notch the defining part of the experience.
