Enter an expression in AlexCalc and get a scientific calculation with a readable, formatted equation on screen. It handles everyday scientific work alongside complex numbers, reusable variables, measurement units, and conversions that combine different units, making it useful for students, technical work, and calculations beyond basic arithmetic.

Equations are rendered in LaTeX so fractions, powers, and grouped terms are easier to inspect, and the app can also produce LaTeX code from an equation. Complex values can be entered in rectangular form such as 3 + 4i or polar form such as 1 angle 90, while stored variables let a value like x be reused in later expressions. Available functions include sine, cosine, tangent and their inverses, base-10 and natural logarithms, square roots, e, pi, and scientific notation.

Input can come from the calculator buttons, direct typing, or pasting, and button-entered expressions are converted to plaintext for copying. Pressing Enter simplifies the equation and removes unnecessary brackets from its formatted result; the up and down buttons recall earlier inputs for editing, while previous inputs, variables, and recently used units persist after closing the app. Light and dark themes are included.

Version 1.0.16 fixes spacing in the vars popup, restores a retro LCD-coloured output background for the dated yet pricey theme, adds larger-output and button-hiding options for small screens, and provides debug settings for unreadable text or missing LaTeX. AlexCalc is open-source software for Android 6.0 or newer, with arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 builds.
