Alibi0.5.3

Turn an Android phone into a dashcam and preserve the last 30 minutes of camera footage when an event becomes worth keeping. Alibi 0.5.3 is open-source Android software in the Photo & Graphics category, built for situations where the significance of something becomes clear only after it has happened.

Instead of requiring you to anticipate an incident and begin recording at precisely the right moment, Alibi keeps recent footage available for saving afterward. It can capture and save video without an internet connection, so network access does not determine whether recording works. Adjustable settings let you choose how the camera operates rather than locking you into a single fixed configuration.

The app is suited to drivers using a phone as a dashcam, as well as Android users who want recent road or incident footage under their control. It is particularly useful when an unexpected moment, near miss, or other event needs to be preserved after the fact. Its controls also suit people who prefer to tailor camera behavior to their own recording habits.

Alibi requires Android 7.0 or newer and supports arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 devices. The application is distributed under an open-source license.
