About

Altova FlowForce Server automates and monitors multi-step enterprise workflows, allowing users to run recurring data-processing tasks in a controlled server environment. It coordinates the individual stages involved in integration projects instead of requiring each operation to be started manually. The system is intended for processing XML and XBRL data, transforming information, and producing reports or documents.

Its workflow capabilities cover both XML and XBRL processing, along with automated data transformation and report generation. Document-generation tasks can also be incorporated into a process, allowing structured data to feed repeatable publishing work. Jobs may run on dedicated servers, virtual machines, or workstations, so the execution environment can match the scale and technical arrangement of a project.

FlowForce Server is suited to organizations that handle structured data or recurring document-processing workloads, including enterprise integration teams and departments that produce regular reports. It is particularly useful when multiple processing steps must be managed and monitored as one workflow rather than handled as isolated scripts or desktop actions. The product is published by Altova for Windows on x64 systems, with the current release identified as version 2025.02.00.01.

The current release changes the IDE so permission types set to “inherited” appear as “No access” while permissions are edited. It also addresses a job failure in which referencing failed-step() from an on-success handler crashes FlowForce. In the IDE, clicking users imported from a domain now addresses the “Cannot identify user” error.
