Amical1.12.5

Amical converts spoken words into polished text and places the result in the app where you are working, making dictation a practical alternative to keyboard entry. Its AI speech-to-text engine automatically formats dictation for emails, messages, code, and other writing. It uses application context to distinguish a professional Gmail email from a casual Instagram post and shape the output accordingly.

You can choose local or cloud AI models and teach them industry terminology, jargon, and proper nouns for more tailored transcription. Personalized voice commands and shortcuts let you trigger actions and operate hands-free. Dictation supports more than 100 languages, including switching languages or mixing languages within one passage.

This suits Mac users who write frequently, including people composing correspondence, social posts, code, or other everyday work while reducing typing. Its emphasis on private, context-aware transcription and open-source design distinguishes it from basic built-in dictation, and the product is also presented for Windows, iOS, and Android alongside Mac.

On macOS, Amical 1.11.3 requires macOS 13 Ventura or later and runs on Apple Silicon (arm64). It is freeware, with no paid license required for use.
