Focu0.13.0

Focu turns conversations and journal entries into actionable tasks, then guides you through focused work sessions on your Mac. It combines AI-powered guidance, meaningful conversations, periodic check-ins, and reflections to help structure the day from morning through evening. Its focus page brings together a task list and Pomodoro timer, giving you one place to decide what to work on and track a session.

You can enter tasks yourself or have AI extract them from conversations, while keyboard shortcuts let you refocus without reaching for other controls. The timer remains available from the menu bar, and check-ins can be started manually or prompted at intervals to provide reminders, encouragement, and a chance to wind down. AI-guided journaling and thoughtful reflections also help people record how the day went and clear their minds.

Focu keeps data on the device and performs its AI work locally by default, with automatic backups to a chosen location such as iCloud plus import and export tools. It also supports cloud AI through OpenAI or OpenRouter when you supply your own API key. People who struggle to start the right task, lose focus, or need help staying aligned with daily goals can use it as a quiet work companion.

Automatic dark and light modes adapt the interface or let you choose a preference. Focu is Productivity software for macOS, with version 0.13.0 offered as freeware for Apple Silicon Macs using arm64, and it is open source.
