Android Studio Preview (Beta)2026.2.1.6

Build and test Android applications with Android Studio Preview (Beta), using an early-access development environment for Android development tools. Its beta status makes it an evaluation release for developers who want to examine upcoming behavior before the final release. Android Studio provides the workspace used to create Android projects, write code, assemble builds, and debug applications.

The preview exposes the newest Android Studio features and improvements, including capabilities introduced through Canary and Release Candidate channels. It suits Android developers and teams testing future workflows, validating projects against evolving tools, or experimenting with Android APIs during development. The current version is 2026.2.1.7,rabbit1-rc2, supplied for macOS on Apple Silicon (arm64) hardware.

Android Studio Preview (Beta) is offered under a freeware license, so obtaining it requires no purchase under those terms.
