atemOSC sends OSC commands to Blackmagic Design ATEM switchers, allowing a Mac to trigger video switching and adjust exposed mixer parameters from an OSC controller. It also connects AV devices such as ATEM switchers and HyperDecks to OSC, MIDI, or HTTP messages, extending control to software interfaces and physical MIDI hardware. This suits live production, streaming, presentations, and installations where a dedicated control surface or custom interface must operate a switcher or deck.

Created in 2012 as a Mac OS X bridge for one ATEM switcher and TouchOSC, atemOSC grew to support multiple switchers and multiple mix-effect blocks. Version 2 expanded the OSC address set, version 3 introduced basic HyperDeck control, and version 4 added multi-switcher and multi-M/E operation. Version 5 brought major HyperDeck improvements along with Windows and Linux support, while version 5.1 added MIDI and HTTP control plus Blackmagic Web Presenter support.

The project is now branded Banyan AVBridge, a continuation rather than a new application, because it handles devices and protocols beyond ATEM and OSC; direct MIDI-controller support also removes the need for OSCulator in most such setups. The current catalog release is atemOSC 5.0.17 for MacOS on Apple Silicon (arm64), and it is distributed as freeware. The first four major versions were released free with limited, occasional support, while version 5 onward became a fully supported, licensed product.
