Type a short abbreviation and aText expands it into a frequently used phrase, so recurring replies and other text take a few keystrokes instead of full retyping. It acts as a text template, shortcut, macro, and automation system across applications, helping people who regularly compose email, documents, and other repeated material. Long snippets can include editable fields, allowing inserted content to be customized as it is used.

It inserts images, formatted text, and attachments into applications including Word, Mail, Outlook, Pages, and Gmail. Advanced actions include date-and-time scripts, keystrokes, scripting, and mouse scripts, while an advanced configurator helps it work in most applications. It can also capitalize new sentences automatically and correct accidental double capitals.
