Athas0.16.3

Edit source files, inspect project structure, and move from a first idea to a final commit in Athas’s compact coding workspace. It combines code editing with an integrated terminal, Git workflows, and coding agents, so developers can make changes, review them, and follow pull requests beside the code.

The built-in Athas Agent provides chat-based assistance through any OpenAI-compatible provider, with model selection available for different tasks. You can also run an installed CLI agent, inspect its edits in place, and use worktrees to give each branch checkout its own workspace.

A command palette puts actions behind rebindable shortcuts, while workspaces remember projects and multi-root windows restore several projects together at launch. Nested editor and terminal splits retain their layouts, the shell can open files, folders, and terminals through the CLI, and read-only links can share selections, buffers, or agent conversations.

Athas 0.14.2 is freeware and open source for Apple Silicon (arm64) Macs in the Developer Tools category, with builds also offered for Windows and Linux. Its light, dark, and custom JSON themes include live preview, and teams can coordinate through shared projects, channels, and presence while adding the languages, databases, agents, and themes that match their stack.
