ATV Remote2.2.1

Control an Apple TV from your desktop with keyboard commands and an on-screen remote available from the menubar. When ATV Remote is running, a small remote icon appears in the menubar, and clicking it opens the controls. Keyboard keys are mapped to remote actions, including Return or Enter for Select and Delete for Menu. Press Option-comma to display the key mappings, while long-pressing buttons reproduces a sustained press on the Apple TV remote.

The app pairs with an Apple TV the first time it runs, and it can be paired with more than one Apple TV for use in different rooms or setups. Command-Shift-R opens the remote from anywhere on the system. Right-clicking the menubar icon provides additional options alongside the regular click action.

ATV Remote suits people who want to operate Apple TV while working at a desktop, using the keyboard instead of reaching for a separate remote. Version 2.2.1 is freeware for macOS 12 Monterey or later on Apple Silicon (arm64). The project is built with pyatv, and electron-builder produces it as a standalone application. A Windows edition is also available, using Alt-comma to show mappings and Win-Shift-R as its global shortcut.
