AudioMoth Configuration App

Configure an AudioMoth recorder from a desktop computer and set the clock that governs its timed operation. The AudioMoth Configuration App prepares the device for audio recording by exposing its recording controls in one Windows utility.

Users can define the periods when recording should run, then adjust recording gain and sample rate to match the intended deployment. The application also estimates the device’s approximate lifespan from the selected configuration, helping users judge how their choices may affect unattended operation. Its clock-setting function keeps scheduled recordings aligned with the planned times.

The app is intended for people who use AudioMoth units for recording and need to prepare them before operation, including deployments where a recorder must work according to a defined schedule. It is built with Electron and communicates with the AudioMoth hardware being configured, so an AudioMoth device is part of the working setup.

OpenAcousticDevices publishes the freeware for Windows, and the current version is 1.13.2. The package updates automatically; if it appears to be more than a day or two behind, maintainers should be contacted. Its distinction is the combination of schedule setup, recording-parameter controls, clock management, and configuration-based lifespan estimation in a focused companion app for AudioMoth recorders.
