About
AudioMoth Live App is a free Windows application in the Music & Audio category. It takes audio from any USB microphone and presents that input visually as it arrives. Its main display combines a live scrolling waveform with a spectrogram, allowing incoming sound to be viewed in two related forms.
The app can make continuous recordings from the connected microphone. It can also monitor the audio input when the user needs to observe or listen to incoming sound. A heterodyne bat detector can be applied to the input for bat-focused audio work. These functions support users who need to view, record, monitor, or process sound from a USB microphone.
AudioMoth Live App works with all USB microphones, but it is specifically designed for AudioMoth USB Microphone firmware. That firmware allows all existing AudioMoth hardware versions to be used as configurable USB microphones. The application therefore fits Windows users working with USB audio, AudioMoth hardware, live sound displays, recordings, or bat detection.
