AutoPkgr2.0

AutoPkgr installs and configures AutoPkg on Macs, helping administrators deliver managed software updates across a fleet. It can issue automatic notifications when recipe updates are available, so teams can track changes without repeatedly checking for them. One-click connections to popular recipe feeds simplify adding update sources, while manual source entry is also supported.

Administrators choose the recipes they want to monitor, and AutoPkgr remembers that watchlist until they change it. The current 2.0 release also supports YAML recipes. With a few clicks, it can automatically import updates into Jamf Pro, SimpleMDM, Munki, and other software distribution systems. Configuration is handled without Terminal commands, and update notifications can be sent through Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Google Chat.

The software is aimed at Mac fleet administrators, IT teams, and anyone responsible for keeping managed applications current across multiple computers. It is useful in organizations that already use a supported management or distribution platform and want recipe-based updates to flow into that system. AutoPkgr runs on macOS and supports both Intel and Apple Silicon hardware. It is distributed as freeware and open-source software.
