About

Bag: Bitcoin Portfolio Monitor is an open-source Android application for monitoring Bitcoin holdings and related market information. It is listed in the Finance & Shopping category and is intended for people who want portfolio, fee, and transaction information in one mobile tool. The application can show net worth in up to three fiat currencies and lets users display Bitcoin amounts as either sats or BTC.

The app includes Bitcoin price charts and mempool fee estimates for reviewing market and network conditions. A home-screen widget can present fee information alongside portfolio details such as price, charts, and net worth. Its DCA tracker records purchases and calculates average buy price, cost basis, and profit or loss. Pro features support multisig and imports from Bitkey, Sparrow, and Nunchuk. They also provide custom Esplora server settings and Tor routing through Orbot.

Sentinel can monitor balances and alert users to incoming or outgoing transactions, while fee alerts can be configured around selected thresholds. Bitcoin Health Check produces a privacy score based on address reuse, UTXO hygiene, and coinjoin coverage. Wallet data is encrypted at rest, only derived addresses are sent to a block explorer, and optional biometric locking is available. The application has no accounts, ads, analytics, telemetry, or third-party SDKs.

Bag is distributed under the GPL-3.0 open-source license, and its source can be reviewed through its published project repository. MirrorNest stores a direct mirror of the official Android build and scans it for malware before publishing. Users therefore receive a catalog copy of the official build while the application remains governed by its original license and connected to its project source.
