Batteries3.0.2

Monitor the battery levels of an iPhone, iPad, AirPods, Beats headphones, and supported Bluetooth peripherals from your Mac, then receive alerts when individual devices need recharging. Batteries places those readings in the menu bar and can also display them in the Mac’s Touch Bar, giving users a quick status view without handling each device.

For iPhone, iPad, or iPod readings, connect the device once, enable “Show this device when on Wi-Fi” in Finder, and keep it on the same Wi-Fi network as the Mac. The widget refreshes approximately once per minute because of an Apple-imposed limitation, while low-battery alerts depend on enabled macOS notifications and the corresponding per-device setting in Batteries. Apple Watch monitoring is limited: connect its paired iPhone, leave the watch unlocked, and approve the Trust prompt with the passcode; watch updates are less frequent to conserve battery.

Apple Pencil and Apple Smart Case levels cannot be shown because those devices cannot pair with a Mac, and some Bluetooth hardware, such as Logitech keyboards, provides no battery information through macOS’s current Bluetooth system. Batteries 3.0.2 runs on macOS 12 Monterey or later for both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. It is offered as freeware, with its license allowing use on five computers, making it suited to Mac users who want one compact view of their nearby device batteries.
