Biscotti records your microphone and Mac system audio, then transcribes and summarizes private meetings locally on the computer. It captures calls from Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, FaceTime, Slack huddles, and other meeting apps without inserting a bot into the conversation. Recording, transcription, and AI processing stay on the Mac, so audio and transcripts remain local; it works offline once its models are present, with no cloud service, account, or subscription. Because it records the computer’s audio directly, nothing appears in the call and other participants are not notified.

On-device speech recognition produces a transcript divided and labeled by speaker, while local AI creates a summary, meeting title, action items, and real speaker names. Custom vocabulary improves recognition of uncommon names, technical terms, and other jargon. Calendar awareness detects upcoming meetings and can offer to begin recording, while automatic stop detection ends capture when the call finishes.

Biscotti also provides a chat interface for querying meeting notes through MCP in apps such as Claude or LM Studio. Its Markdown notes support personal annotations linked to the exact moment they were written, and the small native design launches instantly.

Version 1.0.0 requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later on an Apple Silicon Mac. Biscotti is free, native, and open to inspection, and its design comes from an ex-Apple engineer focused on keeping meeting notes private.
