About
Manage multiple Bitcoin Lightning nodes from your phone with BitBanana, including their wallet activity and operational controls. It is a native mobile interface for an existing node rather than an independent wallet, giving operators remote access to node-based wallet functions while keeping them fully self-custodial.
The app supports both Bitcoin on-chain transactions and Lightning payments, along with channel management and routing summaries. Contacts, signing and verification, NFC support, and Tor support provide additional tools for node operation. Its educational approach guides users through different aspects of running a node, making it useful for learning as well as day-to-day administration. Operators can use it to check infrastructure away from their desk or handle wallet activity while mobile.
BitBanana runs on Android 8.0 and newer and provides builds for arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, armeabi, x86_64, x86, mips, and mips64. The app is open-source and connects to a Bitcoin Lightning node that it manages remotely. Version 1.1.0 adds TLS 1.3 support, accepts number input for Persian-language use, and updates the translations.

What's new in v1.1.0
Security update: This release is the result of an in-depth security review. Many areas have been hardened, e.g. encrypted connections for LNURL and LndHub, stronger backup encryption and a stricter biometric unlock. We are not aware of any issue ever being exploited, but recommend all users to update.
