Load local hi-res albums or NAS folders into BitMuse and send their original audio directly to a compatible DAC for bit-perfect playback. Its library combines artist-and-album browsing with the folder tree you built, while artwork and playlists provide a second route through the same collection without duplicating it. Exclusive and integer output modes, gapless playback, and a visible Signal Path let you follow the route from file to DAC; a 16-bit/44.1 kHz FLAC, for example, can remain in RAM, decode as Int16/44.1 kHz, and leave hardware volume at 100% under DAC control.

Headphone EQ and room correction adapt playback to listening conditions, and the player handles twelve audio formats plus cue sheets. DSF and DFF files play as PCM by default, while experimental DoP becomes available in Exclusive Mode for a compatible DAC. Cue sheets can split one album file into individual tracks, making it possible to jump to a song or hear a live recording without gaps, and downloads or rare tracks can sit beside lossless albums without re-encoding.

BitMuse exposes a file’s actual bit depth, bandwidth, and noise floor, helping distinguish genuine hi-res material from misleading labels. Local analysis measures tempo, key, mood, and energy, then builds twenty automatic mixes from the collection or finds music resembling the currently playing track.
