BodyCheck

BodyCheck is an open-source Android app for viewing measurements from gym body composition analyzers. It scans QR codes generated by compatible analyzers and presents the encoded results in an easy-to-read format. Users can scan a code with the phone’s camera or import a QR code from a saved image. The app is intended for people who want to review and retain their body composition information on an Android device.

The displayed measurements include weight, BMI, body fat percentage, skeletal muscle mass, body water, protein, basal metabolic rate, biological age, and health score. BodyCheck also shows how lean mass and fat mass are distributed across the arms, trunk, and legs. Its history view allows users to follow changes in their body composition over time. Data can be exported for backup and imported when moving it to another device. The app works completely offline and does not require an internet connection.

BodyCheck reads QR codes containing body composition data as a JSON array of numeric measurements. It supports arrays containing 63, 64, or 95 values and checks whether key measurements fall within physiologically plausible ranges. All data remains stored locally on the device, with no data sent to a server. The app includes no analytics or tracking.

In the Health & Fitness category, BodyCheck serves as a local companion for reviewing data produced by gym measurement equipment. Its Android format makes the camera, saved-image import, history, and data transfer functions available on supported Android devices. MirrorNest distributes the official build directly from its own storage and scans it for malware before publishing. This gives users a catalog copy of the official open-source Android release.
