Boilr

Boilr is an open-source Android application for monitoring Bitcoin, other cryptocurrencies, cryptoassets, futures, and options. It retrieves market data directly from supported exchanges over Wi-Fi or mobile data when mobile data use is allowed. The app is intended for users who want price conditions monitored rather than checking exchange prices manually.

Boilr provides two alarm types: Price Hit alarms respond when a price crosses an upper or lower limit, while Price Change alarms respond when the price moves beyond a specified amount. A Price Change alarm can use a currency amount or percentage and a defined time frame, such as 15 minutes. It uses a rolling comparison, fetching prices at an update interval and comparing the current value with the value from one time frame earlier.

The app supports more than 90 exchanges and supports the pairs available through libdynticker. Exchange lists, trading pairs, and alarms are searchable to help users find and configure them. Alarms form a ticker-like list that can be reordered, with limits editable directly in that list.

When an alarm triggers, it continues to ring and display its status until the user turns it off, and it can be configured to snooze automatically when the price retraces. Sound and vibration settings can be configured globally and separately for individual alarms. As an Android title in the Finance & Shopping category, Boilr fits a mobile market-monitoring use case, while its open-source license identifies how its software is made available.
