BookMacster (Beta) lets Mac users collect, organize, verify, and synchronize browser bookmarks from one central store under their control. It adds tags, hierarchical folders, or both, while also alphabetizing selected folders according to sorting rules you define. Its browser extensions and global access features make the managed bookmarks available within supported browsers.

The program can verify bookmarks, repair redirects, remove duplicates, convert insecure links to HTTPS, and strip URL cruft such as Google tracking tags. It supports multiple user profiles in Firefox and Chrome, and can be scripted to collect new bookmarks from NetNewsWire or similar applications. This combination suits people who maintain large bookmark collections across several browsers, devices, or separate browsing profiles.

BookMacster can continuously synchronize Safari, Firefox, Google Chrome, Vivaldi, Chromium, Chrome Canary, Firefox Developer Edition, and Brave Browser. It synchronizes automatically with iCab, Opera, OmniWeb, Epic, and Roccat when those browsers quit, and it connects manually with Pinboard, Delicious, and Diigo. Its synchronization is designed to work alongside Safari bookmarks in iCloud, Firefox Sync, Chrome Sync, Vivaldi Sync, and Opera Sync, keeping matching internal bookmarks across computers, tablets, and smartphones.

The current 3.3.9 release requires macOS 12 Monterey or later and runs on both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs; Safari bookmark use requires granting the app permission after placing it in the Applications folder, preferably before its first launch. BookMacster is freeware, serves as the pro-level member of its related app family, and includes an Apple Help Book in its Help menu.
