BookMacster gives Mac users a central place to collect, organize, verify, and synchronize browser bookmarks. It can add tags, arrange bookmarks in hierarchies, alphabetize selected folders, repair redirects, remove duplicates, strip Google tracking parameters, and upgrade insecure HTTP links to HTTPS. Users control which folders are sorted and how sorting works, or can have sorting happen automatically whenever bookmarks change.

Continuous synchronization covers Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Vivaldi, Chromium, Chrome Canary, Firefox Developer Edition, and Brave Browser. iCab, Opera, OmniWeb, Epic, and Roccat can synchronize automatically when they quit, while Pinboard, Delicious, and Diigo support manual synchronization. Extensions and global access make the managed bookmarks available inside browsers, and multiple Firefox and Chrome profiles can be handled separately.

The program is designed to work with Safari bookmarks in iCloud, Firefox Sync, Google Chrome Sync, Vivaldi Sync, and Opera Sync, keeping the same internal bookmarks across computers, tablets, and smartphones. Scripts can collect new bookmarks from NetNewsWire or similar applications, making it useful for people who work across several browsers or devices and want a single store under their control. As the pro member of the BookMacster family, it targets users who want the broader set of bookmark-management capabilities rather than only a focused subset.

BookMacster 3.3.9 is freeware for macOS, supports Intel and Apple Silicon, and requires macOS 12 Monterey or later; the developer’s family-wide guidance specifies macOS 11 or later for current versions. Safari bookmark use requires granting the app the developer-requested permission after placing it in the Applications folder, and granting it before the first launch skips the first three permission steps.
