Run several coding agents in parallel from one terminal workspace, while keeping their output, requests, and sessions under supervision. Calyx is a native macOS terminal built on Ghostty that works with Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Hermes, Grok, and pi without replacing the terminal workflow you already use. Persistent sessions, agent-readable command history, live status, and inline diff review let developers monitor ongoing work without repeatedly checking separate terminal tabs.

The Agents Sidebar marks each connected agent as working, blocked, idle, or done, with unread badges, last-seen timestamps, and click-to-focus navigation. It also expands panes running subagents into indented child rows, showing counts for Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and Grok subagents. A single approval inbox presents Claude Code and Codex permission prompts, Grok tool calls in always-approve sessions, and every pi tool call in a macOS-notification-style panel with a primary action and an Options menu containing the CLI’s other choices, including always-allow suggestions.

The Git sidebar shows working changes and commit history, supports comments on individual diff lines, and sends a complete review directly to Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Hermes, or Grok panes. Through MCP and its bundled CLI, agents can access panes, commands, captured output, browser tabs, language servers, and peer agents, allowing them to coordinate, wait for commands to finish, and inspect results.

Calyx is aimed at developers supervising multiple agent-driven coding tasks from a single control surface. Version 0.46.1 runs on macOS 26 Tahoe or later for Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, and it is freeware under the MIT license.
