Choose a provider preset, enter its API key, and switch an AI coding agent’s setup with one click in CC Switch. The Mac desktop manager handles configurations for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Gemini CLI, Grok Build, OpenCode, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, Pi, and MiniMax Code. It replaces hand-editing JSON, TOML, YAML, and .env files when moving between providers or maintaining separate tool configurations.

More than 90 provider presets cover services such as AWS Bedrock, NVIDIA NIM, and community relays. Local routing lets you use GPT in Claude Code or Claude in Codex by converting automatically among Anthropic, OpenAI, and Gemini API formats, with failover when a route becomes unavailable. MCP servers and Skills can be added once and synchronized selectively, while prompts remain maintained independently for each tool.

CC Switch also displays token usage and spending without requiring local routing, and its provider cards and tray show subscription quotas and balances. The current 3.20.3 release belongs to the Developer Tools category, is distributed as freeware, and runs on macOS 12 Monterey or later. It supports both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, making it suited to developers who regularly test different AI services, centralize agent extensions, or keep several coding environments aligned. Its distinguishing feature is the combination of provider switching, format conversion, shared MCP and Skills management, prompt organization, and quota monitoring in one desktop workspace.
