About
CCMenu places the status of continuous-integration builds in the macOS menu bar, giving developers an immediate view of activity across their CI/CD servers. It gathers a summary of all monitored builds and highlights running or broken work without requiring a separate dashboard.
The app supports GitHub Actions and servers exposing feeds in CCTray format, and it began as part of the CruiseControl project that produced the first CI server. Individual pipelines can be reordered, shown with additional details, and opened in the server’s web interface; the pipeline window also provides information about the latest build and commit and lets you edit the monitored list. Running builds receive the highest menu priority, followed by failed builds, while icons distinguish successful, failed, active-after-success, active-after-failure, disabled, agent-waiting, and approval-waiting states.
CCMenu can notify you when builds start or finish and show an estimated remaining time, calculated from the previous build and therefore unreliable when that build ended quickly. CCTray feeds do not include build-duration data, so CCMenu measures those builds itself and displays a timer only after it has observed a complete run. GitHub Actions workflows are added by owner and repository, with monitoring available for every branch or one selected branch.
GitHub access uses broad OAuth app scopes but performs read operations only, storing its authentication token in the macOS keychain. For CCTray projects, you can enter a hostname and port for automatic feed discovery, supply the complete feed URL when discovery fails, and enter HTTP Basic authentication credentials. Clicking a pipeline follows the URL supplied by the server, so incorrect pages, missing ports, or wrong URL schemes must be corrected there. Version 15.0 is freeware for macOS on Intel and Apple Silicon.
