Chatbox1.23.5

Chatbox brings conversations with multiple AI models into one Mac desktop workspace, including GPT-4 and GPT-3.5 through the OpenAI API. It turns prompts into answers and helps users work with text, files, images, code, and research.

You can give it PDFs, Word documents, images, or code snippets to summarize, question, and analyze, while extracting useful details from their contents. Real-time web search supplies current news and data, and a local knowledge base stores documents so Chatbox can use them in later questions. Work Mode lets an AI agent create chatbots, handle files, search the web, write code, use tools, and take actions autonomously toward a stated goal.

Developers can watch generated code update with a live preview, while Mermaid diagrams, LaTeX formulas, Markdown, and advanced charts help present technical work clearly. Students, researchers, writers, and professionals can use it for document review, idea development, coding, and information gathering from a single desktop application. Chatbox says user data remains locally controlled, is never sold or shared, and is protected with industry-standard security.

The freeware release is version 1.23.5 for macOS on Apple Silicon (arm64). Because AI-generated content can be inaccurate, important information should be checked before it is relied upon.
