Circle to Share freezes the current Android screen, lets you circle or crop the relevant area, and then share, copy, or save the result. The screen is captured from any app, while the original image is not retained unless you choose an action that stores it. Share and Copy keep the crop in the app’s private cache rather than the gallery, while Save places it in the Screenshots folder.

You can trigger a capture by holding the Power button or swiping up from a bottom corner with the assistant controls, tapping its Quick Settings tile, or using an optional floating bubble that stays above other apps and can be moved aside. The Quick Settings tile closes the notification shade before capturing, and optional snapping aligns crop edges with visible buttons, cards, and images. QR codes within the captured area are highlighted so they can be opened, copied, or shared directly.

The app suits people who need to extract a portion of a conversation, document, image, or other screen content without creating a full screenshot. Its Quick Settings, bubble, snapping, and fallback capture for devices that do not provide screenshots to third-party assistants use Android’s AccessibilityService API; that service is off until you accept the in-app disclosure and enable it, and it only captures the screen and reads element positions when a capture is triggered.

Circle to Share is open-source Android software for Android 11 or later, with Universal architecture, and the current version is 0.3.3. It uses no internet, storage, camera, microphone, or location permissions. Screens that block screenshots, including banking apps and DRM-protected video, cannot be captured.
