Cisdem PDF Converter OCR9.7.0

Turn PDF files into editable documents, searchable PDFs, or image files with Cisdem PDF Converter OCR. Its optical character recognition reads text embedded in scanned pages and document images, making that content available for editing, searching, archiving, and reuse. The program is intended for macOS users who need PDF conversion and OCR rather than a general office suite.

It exports PDFs to Word DOCX and DOC, PowerPoint PPTX, Excel XLSX, and Apple iWork Pages, Keynote, and Numbers files, with iWork conversion available only on macOS. Other output choices include JPG, JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIFF, SVG, PDF/A, EPUB, HTML, RTF, TXT, XOD, and XPS. It can also create PDFs from Word, PowerPoint, Excel, HTML, and image files. During conversion, it aims to retain text, pictures, tables, formatting, and page layouts, including placing tabular data into the appropriate Excel cells.

This is useful for office workers revising received PDFs, researchers extracting text from scans, and anyone repurposing archived documents without recreating their layouts manually. OCR can automatically recognize scanned files and produce searchable PDFs or editable versions in supported formats.

Cisdem PDF Converter OCR 9.7.0 is freeware in the System Tools category for macOS 10.14 or later, and runs on both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. Its iWork output and macOS-specific support make it particularly suited to Mac users working across PDF, Microsoft Office, and Apple document formats.
