Live wait times, estimated arrivals, and a real-time map show approaching buses and trains. During a trip, it can identify the next stop, suggest the best train car and station exit, and alert you when it is time to get off. Map views also show nearby e-scooter and e-bike charge levels, no-parking zones, service disruptions, delays, status updates, and alternative routes.

The app also lets travelers compare cab fares, hail a ride, and use shared bikes or scooters, with transit times available from the lock screen. Citymapper is in the Navigation & Travel category, with version 11.57.2 adding bug fixes and performance improvements; new features are planned for the next release.
