ClassicFTP5.00

ClassicFTP transfers files between a Mac and the FTP space used by a website, allowing site owners to update online content from a desktop client. It provides the basic FTP workflow for sending local files to a website and retrieving files from the remote server. The program is aimed at maintaining website files directly, with an emphasis on making those transfers easy and secure.

Web publishers can use ClassicFTP when adding site content, replacing existing files, or maintaining the files that support an online presence. It also suits Mac users who need a straightforward, system-oriented FTP utility rather than an automated synchronization service. Its role is focused on interactive file transfer and website maintenance through FTP.

ClassicFTP runs on MacOS and supports both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. The current release is version 5.00, and it is offered as freeware, so the software is available without a license fee. It is classified under System Tools and is intended for Mac users who need FTP file-transfer capabilities as part of their regular website work.
